Peru Showcases Trade, Tourism and Cultural Richness at Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai
A 15-member Korean business delegation accompanied
On August 8, in Osaka the Trade Forum brought together 20 Peruvian exporters mainly -food and beverage, textiles, garments and home deco- resonating in more than 150 meetings with over 50 companies from China, Japan, Republic of Korea and Taiwan. Featured by wide-ranging products such as pisco, quinoa, olive oil, fresh produce and alpaca garments, Korean importers expressed the highest level of interest together with Japan.
The Tourism Seminar brought together industry representatives, who met with Asias major players from China, India, Japan and the Republic of Korea. Over 160 meetings covered attractions amongst Machu Picchu, products, services, and Peru’s readiness for the Asian market. The event focused on promoting cultural, sustainable, and tailor-made tourism offerings. Four Korean travel agencies discussed opportunities of incorporating new experiences and destinations within their Peru package.
The Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism Úrsula Desilú León attended the networking reception; were she expressed her gratitude and underscored the importance and relevance of strengthening future collaboration.
On August 9, the Peru Day at EXPO OSAKA 2025, celebrations turned the Peru Pavilion into a vibrant cultural venue lead by Peruvian President H.E. Dina Boluarte and part of her cabinet. Visitors enjoyed traditional dances, parades, and live music from Grammy award-winning artist Tonny Succar. The pavilion showcased Andean and Amazon-themed exhibitions, traditional gastronomy tastings, and handicrafts embodying the national theme “Infinite Possibilities.”
