PISC delivers ‘2006 Full Scholarship’ to seven undergraduate students who come from unemployed families

Seoul--(뉴스와이어)--Prudential Investment & Securities Co. Ltd. (PISC) (CEO, Jinho Chung) announced on Mar 2 that it has delivered PISC scholarship to seven undergraduate students from unemployed families. The scholarships were presented at the Prudential Tower, Yeoksam-Dong, Seoul. Among the participants of the ceremony were Christopher Cooper, President of Prudential International Investments for Asia, Jeffrey Jones of the Partners for the Future Foundation, and Tami Overby, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea.

‘PISC Scholarship’ was raised through ‘Share of Love Relay’, the program co-organized by PISC and the Partners for the Future Foundation to support college tuitions for students from unemployed families. PISC has been a part of the program through its Matching Grant process since December 2004.

Jinho Chung, president and CEO of PISC said “In an effort to contribute to social development as a responsible member of civil society, PISC is actively engaged in various social activities. Share of Love Relay is one example." Explaining the objectives of the PISC Scholarship, he mentioned “Prudential was founded with a mission to help people in need and based on this mission, we put efforts to make our community a better place to work and live in. Volunteers and company level charity are the channels through which we make differences in this society."

Along with ‘Share of Love Relay’ PISC holds diverse social programs such as Prudential Global Volunteer Day and campaign for missing children.
