LG Sweeps Reddot Design Awards 2006 Winning the Greatest Number of the Given Categories

Seoul--(뉴스와이어)--LG Electronics(LG), a leader in consumer electronics and mobile communications, presentsits latest developments in multimediatechnology, won Reddot Design Awards in 20 categories, which is the greatest number in the record, including two “Best of the Best” awards for the Dual-Core Widescreen Notebook PC (T1 Series)and the world’s first Wall-Mounted Projector. The “Best of the Best” are awarded to only three products and LG has won two of them.

Reddot Design Award and iF Design Award are the two greatest design awards in Europe. Earlier this year, LG won iF Design Awards in 11 categories and won the greatest number of Reddot Design Awards again, which is record-breaking in the industry. Especially the two “Best of the Best” award-wining products are:

- Dual-Core Widescreen Notebook PC (T1 Series):The 14.1-inch-wide notebook PC is sophisticated-looking in crystal black. The weight is 1.93kg and the thickness is 21.5mm.

- Wall-Mounted Projector: This world’s first, one-of-a-kind product features innovative design made possible by L-type lens, which is also developed by LG. The projector is functioning not only as equipment but also as a wall décor with its stylish appearance. The projector has won iF Design Award as well.

Other products include 50-inch plasma TV, Slim LCD Monitor (LX70), AV Center, and MP3 Player (JM52) and Chocolate Phone, which have won iF Design Award as well. Especially, the Chocolate Phone, the handset in sophisticated black, is already a best seller in Korea with its minimalist look.
