Visit to Korea by Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed of UAE

Seoul--(뉴스와이어)--Abu Dhabi Crown Prince General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emerites (UAE) plans to visit Korea from June 13 to 15, at the invitation by the Government of the Republic of Korea. During his visit, Crown Prince Mohammed will pay a courtesy call on President Roh Moo-hyun and discuss ways to promote bilateral cooperation in various fields of mutual interest such as energy and resources, IT, construction and plant, education and defense.

Crown Prince Mohammed is the highest-ranking figure of the UAE to visit Korea since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1980. His visit is expected to provide a new momentum for the development of future-oriented partnership between the ROK and UAE which was established with President Roh's visit to the UAE in May 2006.

Crown Prince Mohammed is President Khalifa‘s brother and the Deputy Commander of Chief of the UAE Armed Forces. He is also responsible for Abu Dhabi's development plans which have been actively pursued by President Khalifa ever since he assumed office in November 2004. Crown Prince Mohammed's visit to Korea is expected to significantly contribute to Korean companies' efforts to make inroads into the UAE market.
