Establishment of diplomatic relations with montenegro
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Korea and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Montenegro exchanged notes on the establishment of diplomatic relations as of September 4, 2006. The ROK Government had recognized the Republic of Montenegro as an independent state on June 21, 2006.
With the establishment of diplomatic relations, the ROK Government is hoping to develop friendly relations with the Republic of Montenegro in various fields including foreign affairs and economic cooperation. The ROK Government also plans to continue existing friendly and cooperative ties with the Republic of Serbia.
