Nation's largest wind farm in operation
The tape-cutting ceremony was attended by Minister Chung Sye Kyun of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, local officials and residents.
The facility with 49 wind propellors will generate 244,400MWH of electricity annually. This is approximately the same amount of power that can be used by 50,000 households in a year. Each turbine is capable of generating 2MW. The wind farm is expected to help cut down on CO2 emissions by 150,000 tons every year.
