GTA and Octopustravel winning awards in UK.
9th November 2006, at the British Travel Awards, Travelport scooped up three more trophies for our cabinet. GTA(Gullivers Travel Associates) & Octopus won awards in 2 of the 3 categories where we were nominated. GTA won Best UK Coach Operator, voted by the travel trade (beating, among others, Tellings Golden Miller) and Octopus RBS won Best Accommodation-Only Operator, also voted by the travel trade. Galileo took home the award for Best Technology Provider.
GTA was also a major sponsor of the event. Over 1,000 guests from across the UK travel trade and related industries attended and GTA provided GTA coach transfers to and from the venue. GTA's name and logo featured prominently throughout the evening.
GTA should feel very proud of these Awards especially given they were voted for by our peers (and competitors) in the travel trade. They are a clear indication that the prime brands of Travelport are held in high esteem by the travel industry.
