Arsenal launch new official Korean website
The site (http://kr.arsenal.com) is operated, hosted and promoted by the MediaCorp, who are a leading Asian publisher and digital content provider.
It will carry translated content from the club’s official website, www.arsenal.com, together with extensive free video footage from the Arsenal TV Online subscription service.
The site will show highlights of all Arsenal matches played in the Premiership, UEFA Champions League and Carling Cup and will also feature a wide range of other multimedia content, including: classic goals, reserve match highlights, interviews and press conferences.
Arsenal Manager, Arsène Wenger, said: “kr.arsenal.com is the best way for our Korean supporters to stay up to date with all the news happening at the Club as well as watching highlights of our matches. We always aim to play attractive, entertaining football so I am sure that those visiting the website will enjoy the video footage available.”
MediaCorp’s CEO, Yeong Jae Choi, said: “We are delighted to launch the new Arsenal website. Korean fans will be able to follow the team they love both on and off the field of play. Arsenal Korea will be a two-way interactive service and will provide free multimedia content to local fans. We aim to ensure that Arsenal fans voices are always heard on our site.”

Han Jun-hee, KBS football commentator, said: “Arsenal Korea can bridge the gap between the Premiership club and their Korean supporters, so I’d like to express words of thanks from the bottom of my heart.” Meanwhile Jang Ji-hyeon, MBC ESPN commentator, revealed: “I can’t wait to watch highlights of the first Emirates Stadium encounter via Arsenal Korea.” Kim Deok-jung, editor of the SPORTS2.0, the market leading weekly sports magazine in Korea, insisted: “Arsenal FC is popular among Korean fans. I hope that Arsenal Korea can grow as rapidly as the young Arsenal team are doing.”
