DREAMGIRLS - PROJECTION SOUND LEVELS
As the writer-director of the motion picture DREAMGIRLS, I feel it is critical that audiences see and hear the film in the way it was intended. Being a musical, DREAMGIRLS is especially dependent on the power of its soundtrack, which is why I would like to request all your support to ensure the film is projected at optimum sound levels.
My sound team has endeavoured to produce a truly dynamic soundtrack, and we feel it is vital that the output levels in your theatres are not reduced below the Dolby standard of fader 7, as that would certainly have a negative effect on the energy levels contained in the mix.
I am adamant, and feel confident you will agree, that all audiences deserve to hear DREAMGIRLS played at the optimum in-theatre sound levels, and appreciate your co-operation to ensure this happens on a global basis.
