LG's New Air Conditioner Takes European Market with Dual Functions
“We have proven that we are top in air conditioner technology with the highly efficient Multi V Sync and the world’s slimmest commercial air conditioners,” said Mr. H.Y. Nho, President of LG Electronics’ Air Conditioning Division. “We are fully geared up to take the lead in the European air conditioner market and will continue to work toward our goal of being the leading player in the global market.”
A technology exclusive to LG, Multi V Sync is a heat recovery system which makes it possible to operate cooling and heating simultaneously using only one outdoor unit, serving both cost and energy efficiency needs. Unlike conventional, first and second generation air conditioners, this third generation air conditioner is especially suitable for hotels, hospitals and buildings where space-specific heating/cooling control is essential.
Along with the Multi V Sync, LG is showing off the slimmest commercial air conditioner, a built-in indoor unit easily fit into limited spaces, and the ARTCOOL series of air conditioners, including the picture-frame style ARTCOOL Gallery air conditioner, which won the prestigious 2007 iF Design Award.
In addition, LG launched ARTCOOL Mirror, which includes low-noise inverter technology. Providing effective cooling and heating, this compact sized air conditioner is 30% smaller than competing Japanese products. LG’s premium ARTCOOL series of air conditioners will be available at general home appliances stores and at “Art Clima” shops, gallery-like upscale shops exclusively for high-end ARTCOOL air conditioners.
CLIMATIZACION is the largest international heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) exhibition, being held from February 28 to March 3 in Madrid, Spain. This year’s exhibition, celebrating its twelfth anniversary, has drawn over 1500 companies from 40 countries and approximately 50,000 HVAC related specialists.
LG projects worldwide profits of USD 55 million for air conditioners in 2008. The goal for 2010 is to increase sales by 50 percent, USD 35 million, and bring in USD 70 million in profits.
