February industrial output remained almost unchanged, posting a 0.5 percent growth from the previous month or a 0.4 percent fall year-on-year. The Korean economy in 2007 is expected to expand a mid 4 percent provided external conditions do not deteriorate sharply amid a trend of lower growth in the first half and higher in the second.
The government will closely examine the domestic demand trend to support growth mostly in line with potential. It will also focus on macroeconomic and fine-tuning measures to compensate the domestic economy, so as to ease difficulties of ordinary people.
