Prudential Investment & Securities Co., Ltd. introduces New Product ‘Prudential Asia Pacific REITs FoFs’
‘Prudential Asia Pacific REITs FoFs’ is managed by Prudential Asset Management Co., Ltd. and sub-advised to Prudential Real Estate Investors (PREIâ), the U.S. based real estate investment management business of Prudential Financial (NYSE:PRU) and also business unit of Prudential Investment Management. The fund is designed to generate mid- to long-term returns with primary investment in REITs or companies in real estate business, listed on the Asia Pacific markets. The followings are the major characteristics of the fund.
First, ‘Prudential Asia Pacific REITs FoFs’ invests in Asia Pacific REITs and real estate markets with high growth potentials and positive outlook. The introduction of REITs has promoted restructuring of the real estate industry that is evolving from a cyclical industry to an industry based on long-term stability. In particular, the Asia Pacific region is expected to strengthen its presence in the global listed property market, supported by economic recovery in Japan and robust economic growth of other Asian nations. Another factor contributing to the strong growth potentials is expanding demand for REITs, supported by aging population and institutional funds including pension funds searching for alternative investment options.
Second, the fund offers an optimal portfolio diversification opportunity with low co-relation among Asia Pacific nations and among underlying assets. In addition, the fund provides an inflation hedging with dividend payment and FX risk is hedged within the fund.
Third, the fund is sub-advised to Prudential Real Estate Investors (PREIâ) that has been known for investment expertise and strong track-record for real estate investment in the Asia Pacific region and across the globe. PREI is the world second largest real estate investment manager with $ 32.9 billion in AUM .
‘Prudential Asia Pacific REITs FoFs’ invests about 92% in Asia Pacific REITs FoFs and the remaining 8% in domestic bond and liquidity. The fund offers an RSP option and there is no minimum amount required for subscription.
