Seoul--(뉴스와이어)--POSDATA (CEO Yoo Byung-chang; www.posdata.co.kr) acquired TL9000 (Telecommunication Leadership 9000) certification, an international quality certification standard in the information and telecommunications field.

TL9000 is a certification standard in the information and telecommunications field established in 1999 by the QuEST Forum, which consists of global information and telecommunication companies and certification organizations. This standard is the result of adding quality requirements needed in the information and telecommunications industry to ISO9001, a quality management system. It is a more advanced certification scheme than ISO9001 as it has more quality measurement indicators.

TL9000 is now used as an important evaluation criterion in the telecommunications equipment industry. A company with TL9000 certification is given additional consideration when carriers and public organizations choose an equipment and service provider.

POSDATA specifically sought to acquire TL9000 certification to increase its business competitiveness through systematic quality control of the development, production, and distribution of telecommunications equipment such as the company’s flagship ETC (Electronic Toll Collection System) and Mobile WiMAX.

Along with ISO20000 and CMMI, the quality certification standards the company previously acquired in IT service, TL9000 certification means that POSDATA has established an integrated quality control system in all fields of the IT industry.

POSDATA expects TL9000 to boost customer confidence in the product quality of Mobile WiMAX, now being rolled out for the global market.
