Minister Meets U.S. Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte
Minister Song and Deputy Secretary Negroponte discussed how the ROK and the U.S. can closely work together to release our people held hostage in Afghanistan. In particular, they agreed to exert every possible effort for the abductees’ safe and early return.
In addition, they acknowledged the progress made for the implementation of the February 13 agreement for resolving the North Korean nuclear issue, and agreed to exert efforts to expedite the denuclearization process while strengthening confidence among the participants.
