The Second ROK-China-Japan Trilateral Senior Foreign Affairs Officials' Consultation
The upcoming meeting will also be a preparatory meeting for the ROK-China-Japan Summit and the Foreign Ministers' Talks that the three countries are trying to hold in Singapore this November. The participants will take this opportunity to discuss ways to promote substantial cooperation in various areas among the three countries and have a wide range of discussions on major regional and international issues.
The ROK-China-Japan Trilateral Senior Foreign Affairs Officials' Consultation was held for the first time in Beijing last May according to an agreement reached by the heads of states of the three countries in Cebu, the Philippines, in January 2007. This meeting will be held once or twice a year alternately in the three countries, and it is expected to contribute significantly to the enhancement of mutual understanding and the promotion of cooperation among the three countries.
