Professor Chae Isik Elected as the Chairman of the Legal Committee of IMO
The assumption of the chairmanship of Professor Chae will help Korea play a leading role in making international norms and regulations on maritime affairs.
Professor Chae has served as a member of the IMO Legal Committee for nearly 15 years, including as Vice-Chairman from 2001 to 2005. He was elected as the Chairman of the Committee in 2005 for the first time.
