TRAGIC LOSS OF A GREAT VISIONARY
Professor Gill-Chin Lim
At MSU, Dr. Lim established the Council on Korean Studies (www.globalkorea.org) as well as the Visiting International Professional Program, VIPP (www.isp.msu.edu/vipp).
Being a person of great vision and unparalleled drive for enhancing the role of the Korean race in the global stage, Dr. Lim established the Global Korea Award (www.globalkorea.org) that celebrated its 10th anniversary in October of 2004. He was the driving force behind established the Global Association for Koreans Abroad, GAKA.

We are deeply saddened by this untimely loss of a great visionary and a great Korean American.
