2HJan panel prices still under pressure due to weak seasonality

Taiwan--(뉴스와이어)--According to WitsView's 2HJan panel price market survey, IT panels continue to be affected by the slow season. Due to the fewer working days during the Chinese Lunar New Year holidays, panel shipments are expected to hit bottom during February. Meanwhile, the front-end glass substrates input remains in high gear, as the market expects a future panel shortage to occur. Amid a market demand slowdown and a gradual increase in the inventory levels, the panel price pressure continues to grow. By contrast, underpinned by the strong demand from downstream clients, prices for the 37W and below have stayed firm. However, due to the seasonality effect, the current tight supply is expected to gradually ease in the near future. Finally, in light of an increased panel supply, prices of the 40W and above will continue to decline, albeit at a moderate rate.

The panel prices for 1HJan will be released by WitsView on January 21th.
