AhnLab, releases ‘AhnLab Online Security’ an integrated online security service
The advantage of AOS lies in that it provides various security functions with one installation, and is the first in the industry to satisfy all recommended items of the Financial Supervisory Service.
With one AOS installation, security functions such as keyboard security, firewall, and anti-virus/spyware can all be used. Until now, users had to download three or four different security services when using online banking. AOS reduces such hassle through one installation.
Also, AOS is the first security service in Korea to satisfy the Financial Supervisory Service recommendations, once again affirming AhnLab’s position as the leading security company. As the first runner providing functions preventing issues such as USB keyboard hacking and memory hacking amongst others, we believe AOS will lead the Internet finance and e-commerce security market.
AOS consists of the ‘AOS Antilogger,’ ‘AOS Firewall,’ and ‘AOS Anti-virus/spyware.’ ‘AOS Antilogger’ uses the patented ‘prevention of stealing key input using keyboard data authentication’ technology (refer to Additional Explanation below) and the USB keyboard security function (patent pending for 'protection method of USB device input and output packets'). This blocks potential threats originating from ‘key logger’ programs that send passwords, financial account information, and other confidential information inputted through the keyboard to hackers. ‘AOS firewall’ not only detects and blocks hacking real-time, but also prevents PC network security threats through monitoring/warning/blocking. It thoroughly meets the recommended requirements of the Finance ISAC (Information Sharing and Analysis Center). ‘AOS Anti-virus/spyware’ promptly and accurately provides diagnoses and cures using AhnLab’s core engine based on 20 years of experience.

The ‘AOS Antilogger’ uses the patented technology of ‘prevention of stealing key input using keyboard data authentication’ which prevents original data from being usable when inputted data is stolen through malicious code, and recognizes actual data through authentication when normal data needs to be transmitted.
This technology therefore prevents damage from ‘Key Logger’ programs which steal passwords or financial account information inputted through the keyboard and transmits them to the hacker. In other words, financial accidents through Internet financial transactions and online shopping sites are prevented even if website user names and passwords, official authentication numbers, credit card numbers, resident registration numbers, etc. are stolen. Stolen data cannot be used illegally, and heightened security is provided by authenticating data inputted through the keyboard when necessary.
