Travel-Alert to Dharamsala, India

Seoul--(뉴스와이어)--Regarding the current unrest in Lhasa, Xizang Autonomous District [Tibet], there have been continuous protests in Dharamsala, India, where the self-proclaimed Tibetan government-in-exile is located, causing social instability in the region.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade has reclassified Dharamsala as a Travel-Alert Level 2 (Travel Refrained) from Level 1 (Travel Caution), taking its unstable local situation into consideration.

The Ministry requests the Koreans who are already in the region, to pay utmost heed to their safety. For the Koreans who plan to travel in Dharamsala, it is urged to refrain from entering the region until the local
situation improves.
