Seoul--(뉴스와이어)--Armed conflicts between the supporters of the ruling party and those of the opposition party throughout Lebanon have caused deaths of 53 people and injuries of 190 from May 7 to 12.

While Beirut, the capital city of Lebanon, has restored stability, clashes are continuing elsewhere including Aley and Tripoli, with the western part of Beirut seized by the Hezbollah. Take-offs and landings at the Beirut International Airport is completely banned for the time being, and schools have also been temporarily closed.

With 96 Koreans currently visiting or staying in Lebanon, no casualties or damages of them have been reported so far.

The MOFAT has classified Lebanon as Travel-Alert Level 3 Region (Travel Restricted), taking the country's instability into account. The Ministry requests the Koreans to refrain from traveling to Lebanon until the situation settles down in this region.
