Porsche World Road Show Featuring the New 911
The Porsche World Road Show is the most popular event within Porsche calendar and participation has been growing each year. Five Porsche driving instructors from Germany, Porsche AG, guide this year’s PWRS will attend this year and will provide professional instruction to participants test driving Porsche models including handling, over & under steer, breaking and off road driving experiences. Each participant will have an opportunity to test drive each Porsche model and will be given instructions to experience each Porsche characteristics and performance. Among the highlights of the event will include a taxi ride in the 911 GT2 around the Taebaek Circuit by one of the professional instructors.
The spotlight of this year’s event will be the opportunity to test drive the new 2009 model year 911. The new 2009 911 Carrera and Carrera S main features includes the new PDK (Porsche Double Clutch System), DFI engine, new PCM with touch screen and Bluetooth functions. Apart from revising its classic exterior design, the new 911 will be furnished with advanced engineering technology with a new generation of engines including Porsche Deppelkupplung (PDK) transmission for reduced fuel consumption and emissions providing 20 to 30 more horsepower and Direct Fuel Injection (DFI) that will reduce CO2 emission up to 15%. The new touch-screen PCM (Porsche Communication Management) is also available with blue tooth function, USB and iPod cable options.
The Taebaek track circuit will be an ideal location to test drive the PDK function and experience directly the best of Porsche engineering. Furthermore, the new 2009 model year 911 Carrera 4 and 4S models will be unveiled and displayed during the Porsche World Road Show. Participants will have an opportunity to directly view the 4 and 4S versions of the 911 model range.
This year’s event will be an exciting event and Porsche has prepared an exclusive all inclusive experience package. It includes, one full day of Porsche World Road Show participation, 1 night accommodation at Kangwonland Resort Hotel, transportation to and from Taebaek Circuit, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner during the event and participation gifts.
