AhnLab releases ‘TrusGuard UTM,’ a reinforced DDoS defense technology
'TrusGuard UTM' integrates the functions of individual solutions, such as firewall, IPS(Intrusion Prevention System), VPN(Virtual Private Network), etc. Its strength is the tight integration of AhnLab’s security contents technology, network security technology, and real-time emergency response system. In other words, security contents technology, such as Anti-Virus/Spyware/Spam, network security technology, such as firewall, IPS and VPN, and 24-hour 365-day real-time prevention/response service are chemically combined to provide the fastest speed and greatest efficiency among like products.
The reinforced functions are sophistication of the DDoS defense technology, a more powerful response to diverse DDoS attacks, reinforced interface with endpoint security solutions, expansion of the VPN function. Accordingly, AhnLab is now able to provide the best solution for changing business environment and latest security threats.
First, the DDoS defense technology of ‘TrusGuard UTM’ enhanced the existing domestic/international patented technology and raised its level to DDoS-exclusive solutions. It offers the strongest protection among like products by detecting/blocking DDoS attacks in 6 steps.
Second, ‘TrusGuard UTM’ can provide defense against the greatest variety of DDoS attacks among like products. Currently, it provides protection against various flooding attacks taking advantage of TCP vulnerabilities, ICMP/UDP flooding attacks, HTTP BotNet attacks, and Cache-Control attacks. AhnLab is planning to have DDoS experts respond systematically and swiftly to new attacks in the future.

‘TrusGuard UTM’ is the first GB system in Korea. Diverse product groups are available in the market: ‘TrusGuard UTM 1000’ with 2GB of firewall processing capacity as well as 1.2GB ‘TrusGuard UTM 500,’ 800MB ‘TrusGuard UTM 400,’ and 400MB ‘TrusGuard UTM 100.’ It can satisfy all business customers from small and medium enterprises to large enterprises.
