한국보건산업진흥원, ‘다국적 제약사와 국내 제약사간의 협력에 관한 인식도 조사 및 발전방안’ 영문판 이슈리포트 발간·배포
본 리포트는 보건산업진흥원과 (재)의약품정책연구소의 공동연구를 바탕으로「보건산업정책 이슈리포트 2008-5」의 국문판을 영문버전으로 발간하였다.
그간 국내에 진출한 다국적 제약사는 오리지널의약품 중심으로 마케팅을 했고, 국내 제약사는 제네릭의약품 중심으로 마케팅을 통하여 경쟁관계 구도였다. 그러나 국내의 제약산업 환경은 FTA등 다양한 환경변화 요인으로 보다 발전적인 차원에서 국내 제약사와 다국적제약사의 협력과 협업을 지향하는 발전적인 모습이 필요한 시점이다.
한국보건산업진흥원 정윤택 제약산업팀장은 “최근에 세계적인 의약품 시장정보회사인 IMS health사가 한국을 떠오르는 의약품 시장으로 주목한 만큼 다국적 제약사들이 한국에 R&D 등 투자에 보다 적극적일 것으로 예상되고 있다”며, “그간 국내에 진출한 다국적 제약사들의 인식 및 현황에 관한 정보를 제공함으로써 보다 능동적으로 다국적 제약사가 국내 진출을 활성화할 수 있는 동기부여가 필요한 시점”이라고 말했다.
금번「보건산업정책 이슈리포트」는 국내 진출 다국적 제약사는 물론 각국의 제약관련 단체 및 주요 다국적 제약사를 대상으로 배포할 계획이며, 관심있는 분들께 널리 알릴 수 있도록 전문을 진흥원 홈페이지(http://www.khidi.or.kr) ‘진흥원 발간물(KHIDI보건산업리포트)’에서 제공할 예정이다.

Study on the Perception on the Cooperation between Multinational and Korean Pharmaceutical Companies and Development Strategies
KHIDI (President: Bup-Wan Kim) published and distributed the English version of Health Industry Policy Issue Report 2008-18 under the topic of "A Study on the Perception on the Cooperation between Multinational and Korean Pharmaceutical Companies and Development Strategies."
This report published the English version of the Health Industry Policy Issue Report 2008-5, based on the study of KHIDI and Korea Institute for Pharmaceutical Policy Affairs.
The multinational pharmaceutical companies that entered the Korean market have been focusing marketing activities on original medical supplies, while Korean counterparts have conducted marketing activities concentrating on generic medical supplies: In this manner, they competed with one another. However, now is the time for the multinational and Korean pharmaceutical companies to pursue cooperation and collaboration for pharmaceutical industry's development. The reason is mainly derived from various environmental change factors including FTA.
The Pharmaceutical Industry Team Head of KHIDI, Yun-Taek Jung, mentioned, "Multinational pharmaceutical companies are forecast to be more aggressive in investments in Korea including R&D, given that IMS Health, a world class medical supplies market information company, has recently noted Korea as an emerging medical supplies market." “It is time to motivate the existing multinational pharmaceutical companies' penetration into Korea more actively by enhancing their perception on the Korean market and offering information on the current status," he added.
The Health Industry Policy Issue Report is scheduled to be distributed to not only the multinational pharmaceutical companies that have already entered Korea, but pharmaceuticals-related organizations and major multinational pharmaceutical companies worldwide.
