Seoul--(뉴스와이어)--Samsung Electronics participates in the world's largest AV/multimedia expo, the IFA 2009 held for six days from September 4th to 9th in Berlin, Germany. In this event, Samsung is playing a leading role in the digital TV market by unveiling a new exhibition concept centered on its key products for 2009, LED TVs, based on its solid product and technological leadership. This illustrates that Samsung Electronics not only has created a new species of TV products but also is driving new exhibition culture by introducing innovative exhibition methodology in the exhibition field.

If CES is a venue for exhibitors to boast their technological prowess by displaying new technology and products, IFA is a place for participating businesses to offer new benefits to visitors by touching their senses and providing a platform for first-hand experience. The slogan for the IFA 2009 is “Inspire people, move markets.”

The exhibition booth for Samsung Electronics at Hall #20 of Messe Berlin located in Berlin is 5475 ㎡ in size, the second largest after Sony’s. When you enter the booth, the first thing that captures your eyes is a monument consisting of 128 LED TVs, resembling a magnificent leaves. The monument intrigues visitors coming to the booth. It also gains keen attention and positive responses from visitors who mostly take pictures at this splendid location. Samsung Electronics has introduced a monument that symbolizes IFA since 2008. Its exhibition theme for this year, “New Species, More Inspiration” signifies the advent of the era of a new species, LED TV.

The monument, Digital Leaves in the shape of one magnificent leaves depicts the blooming of an LED TV flower with an array of half circle-shaped petals. At the entrance, your eyes meet stamens formed with four LED TVs. Eight LED TV petals covered with white cloth are reflected in the mirrors on the ceiling, making a marvelous spectacle. Each of the eight petals consists of two 55-inch, six 46-inch, six 40-inch and two 32-inch TVs. The petals alone took a total of 128 LED TVs.

Below that is a flowing LED stream, the source of life for Digital Leaves. It serves as a gateway to a new world that Samsung is creating by illustrating a new species born by joining the two elemental sources of nature: water (stream) and light. Radiating mystical ambience, the monument with full vital power overwhelms visitors, and shows Samsung’s differentiated leadership that created new species and well represents the green management and eco-friendly strategy that the company is pursuing.

This year’s monument movie and sound was planned and produced by the visual and sound experts from Samsung Corporate Design Center. The key objective was to deliver a one of kind unique visual and sound experience to the visitors.

The concept of the monument movie is “the birth of new species”. It conveys the birth and evolution of the new species, LED TV.

To enhance the story’s experience and stimulate the visitor’s five senses, the movie is accompanied by Samsung’s mnemonic music which was composed with live string recording specifically for the IFA monument. The contents are created to be played with a 5.1 channel surround system set up to create an uplifting, optimistic and inviting atmosphere to deliver Samsung’s brand personality
