Citibank Korea donates money for 5 low-income breast cancer patients

Seoul--(뉴스와이어)--Citibank Korea (CEO Ha Yung-Ku, www.citibank.co.kr) and Korea Breast Cancer Foundation (President Choi Kuk-Jin, www.kbcf.or.kr) held a joint campaign during the Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October to help low-income breast cancer patients through employee fundraising. A total of 13, 350,000 won of proceeds will be used for the surgery of 5 patients suffering from breast cancer.

CKI Women Council held the “Pink ribbon for everyone” campaign that lasted from Sep. 28 till Oct. 30 at the CKI office buildings, with an aim to raise awareness about breast cancer by distributing leaflets and selling pink ribbon pin badges. CKI employees willingly contributed to the campaign, buying a total of 2,670 pink ribbon pins worth 13,350,000 won. The proceeds will be donated for surgery of 5 breast cancer patients among low-income families shortlisted by KBCF.

As the 3rd breast cancer awareness campaign organized by Women’s Council, and this year, it encouraged all CKI executives and employees to wear pink ribbons and also gave away ribbons to customers.

CKI CEO Ha Yung-Ku, Women’s Council Chairperson and EVP Kim Myung-Ok, Council members as well as KBCF President Choi Kuk-Jin and Director Shin Chan-Ho attended the ceremony held at the CKI HQ office building to deliver the fundraising proceeds.
