Citibank Korea Inc. launches the Citi Rewards Card

Seoul--(뉴스와이어)--Citibank Korea Inc. today announced the launch of the Citi Rewards Credit Card, expected to become the best rewards point card in the market. The Citi Rewards Card lets customers accumulate Reward Points at the highest rates in Korea with no limit on how many points they can collect, and they can then redeem these points instantly at over 20,000 outlets of major popular merchants including restaurants, major department stores, online shopping centers, movie theaters, and gas stations. Customers can also redeem their points at the enhanced Citi Points Mall, they can use points to deduct payments on their credit card, they can redeem for education and well-being options, as well as donate points to charity. Most importantly, Citi Points never expire, so customers do not have to worry about losing their points.

The launch of the new Citi Rewards Card coincides with several key initiatives being introduced by Citibank Korea designed to increase the attractiveness and usefulness of Citi Cards: the new Citi Rewards Internet Portal will allow enhanced customer access to the Citi Rewards Program; the Citi “Gourmet Pleasures” Dining Program, launching in early 2010, will give Citi customers unparalleled access to various dining options. These enhancements, in combination with the Citibank World Privileges program, which gives our Korean customers full access to a world of preferential treatment, discounts and benefits in more than 30 countries around the world, at leading merchants including over 2,300 restaurants, 860 retailers, 240 tourist attractions, and over 300 spas, will provide Citi customers one of the most powerful and attractive set of benefits of any issuer in the market.

The Citi Rewards Card uses the new MasterCard Titanium service platform, which provides special discounts and benefits, including discounts on overseas air tickets and domestic hotels and condominiums, free usage of airport lounges, free valet parking at various hotels and airports, and discount at major Duty Free Stores.

The annual fee for the Rewards Card is KRW10,000 and applications will be accepted at Citibank branches and the Citi internet homepage www.citibank.co.kr starting November 30, 2009.
