The 650TS interactive whiteboard’s 65-inch display is touch-sensitive with a variety of features expected of a high quality interactive whiteboard, such as a tactile and responsive screen and state-of-the-art “drag and drop” functionality. The 650TS also has built-in speakers, enabling users to play video and music files without additional sound devices, and the option to install a built-in computer.
In a traditional teaching environment, where the use of blackboards is the norm, students sitting on either side or at the rear of a classroom often find it difficult to read what is written due to sunlight or reflective lighting. The 650TS combats this with a wide viewing angle and a high definition LCD panel, giving viewers crystal clear picture quality regardless of their position in the room. Furthermore, the 650TS uses less reflective glass to reduce eye fatigue making content more legible.
The 650TS’ touch screen produces an upgraded learning environment and enjoyable learning interface for students. Rather than using a traditional PC and mouse interface, teachers can control their presentations directly, maintaining a continuous flow of information, which improves concentration.
Using the 650TS’ exclusive stylus pen and optional webcam, teachers can establish more interactive, two-way communication with students, cultivating a more exciting learning environment with higher participation. With the cutting-edge drag-and-drop facility, users can open images, maps, PowerPoint presentation files and electronic books, and also partially zoom and reposition. Environmentally-Friendly Large Format LED Digital Information Display
Samsung’s new EXn series of environmentally-friendly large format LED DIDs are comprised of the Samsung Syncmaster LED LFD 460EXn and 550EXn, as well as two new large format LED backlit displays, which were unveiled in January at CES 2010 in Las Vegas.
The EXn range is the thinnest and sleekest LED design on the market today.
Where traditional, large format DIDs are often weighty, cumbersome and require multiple connection ports for PC synchronization, the EXn series is equipped with a 40GB hard drive to enable a cable-free design. As a result, the 46-inch and 55-inch display products are 70 percent thinner than existing models, despite the incorporation of PCs. The 46-inch screen weighs a mere 15 kilograms, one of the lightest and most easily installed DIDs on the market.
Using Samsung’s LED backlit technology, the EXn series saves 40 percent more energy than existing monitors, suitable for public spaces like airports and shopping malls, where the monitors are kept active for extended periods of time. The series also has easy and efficient networking with other individual displays via “MagicInfo,” an exclusive content management application developed by Samsung.
