Samsung’s latest all-in-one PCoIP monitors, the NC190 and NC240, support 3D CAD graphics that outperform traditional Thin Clients in a server-based computing environment. Both boast PC-over-IP technology implemented alongside leading industry development organizations, Teradici and VMware. Notably, Samsung’s strategic partnership with VMware and Teradici will provide momentum to its expansion into the server-based computing solution business.
Both the NC190 and the NC240 are PCoIP zero client displays that provide ultra-secure access to the remote computer or VMware View 4 virtual desktops without the need for an external PC. Built-in security means that the likelihood of information leakage is extremely low, making them highly attractive to financial institutions, government and military, IT developers and CAD/CAM firms that demand high levels of security.
Using these new monitors, administrators can manage access to a PCoIP-enabled host PC which can be located in the datacenter, preventing inconveniences associated with physical PC access.
In addition, these plug-and-play zero client monitors have no CPU, operating system, or device drivers. This helps reduce maintenance costs as software and anti-virus applications installed on the server extend to the user’s desktop. These features are essential to those companies that need frequent server access and control as they allow remote IP access.

The VC240, a high definition LCD monitor, combines Radvision’s video conferencing system, establishing an unrivalled viewing experience. VC240 users can share their data with others watching the same screen. Additionally, the monitor offers access to the video conferencing system without a PC. It also supports voice communications with another V2oIP terminal or a fixed-line phone as well as video communications with a 3G network-based mobile phone. Moreover, the monitor supports conference calls using these connections. Users can easily create a virtual conference environment using this monitor, which is also compatible with existing virtual conference solutions from other companies.
