Citibank Korea Rewards Best Branch Manager with a “CEO-level” car

Seoul--(뉴스와이어)--Citibank Korea (CEO Ha Yung-Ku, www.citibank.co.kr) announced that it granted a chauffeured Ssangyong Motor Chairman to the branch manger that ranked 1st in the 2009 branch evaluation and Hyundai Grandeurs to five branch managers of 2nd place branches. This unprecedented recognition is drawing attention from the financial community as Chairman is the model that is provided to CKI CEO Ha.

The reason why such an unconventional offer was possible is due to newly introduced ‘absolute evaluation program’. Citibank Korea introduced the absolute evaluation program where branches set their own mid-to-long-term goals with indicators such as total revenue, revenue expense ratio, and average volume and then are evaluated and rewarded if they beat the targets.

At the Townhall meeting on Mar. 5, a ceremony was held to award the Chairman key to the No. 1 branch manager and Grandeur keys to 5 2nd ranking branch managers.

“The absolute evaluation system was successful in that it motivated and encouraged our branches to give it a try and never give up. And each branch became better at challenging themselves in a positive manner,” said CEO Ha at the ceremony. “I would like to congratulate Namdong and other branches that went for it and accomplished a remarkable growth to deserve an honor and benefits that is only entitled to executives.”

We will keep sparing no efforts to identify healthy, capable SMEs in the Namdong industrial complex to achieve a win-win for our customers and ourselves,” said branch manager Shin Woo-Kyun of Namdong Br. in his remarks.
