With the Wonderful CASA - Marathon, on top of basic rate of 4.0% p.a. (pre-tax), customers can achieve preferential rate of 0.1% p.a. (pre-tax) for running up 10km course once, 0.3% p.a.(pre-tax) for half course twice and 0.5% p.a. (pre-tax) for full course three times. Above rates are not accumulated, but only the rate of longer course is applied.
As a launching event of “Wonderful CASA - Marathon”, when the customer successfully runs up full marathon race 5 times within a year from the account opening date and present the certificates issued by the race organizations, the customer can receive additional preferential rate of 0.5% p.a. In this case, the customer can enjoy interest rate of up to 5.0% p.a. (pre-tax). The interest amount is calculated by multiplying the rates with the daily final balance based on first-in first-out principle. However, these basic rate, preferential rate and additional preferential rate are all applied only after 31 days from each deposit date, and 0.1% p.a.(pre-tax) is applied for all deposits during the first 30 days.
Besides this high customer interest rate, Wonderful CASA - Marathon offers various fee waivers and discounts. Fees incurred from using other bank’s ATM will be reimbursed to the customers who designate this account as their payroll account or have average balance of 900M won during the prior month (for up to 8 withdrawals and 5 transfers a month). The customers can also enjoy unlimited fee waiver for withdrawal and transfer when using CKI ATMs, and other fee waivers for varied services as electronic banking, issuing cashier’s check, and preferential FX rate and remittance discount(35~40%).
Each customer can subscribe for only one account, and both Koreans and foreigners can subscribe under their real names.
