SAN JOSE, CA--(뉴스와이어)--Micrel Inc., (NASDAQ: MCRL), an industry leader in analog, high bandwidth communications and Ethernet IC solutions, today announced the MIC2358YLQ, a Power over Ethernet (PoE) Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) Controller that provides 8-ports of IEEE 802.3af-compliant power delivery in a compact 64-pin LQFP package. The solution is targeted at a range of PoE applications including low-density LAN switches, IP Surveillance, VoIP, and mid-span power injectors in the telecommunications and security arenas. The MIC2358YLQ features enhanced manageability facilities to support a range of management environments. A centralized management console may configure and monitor up to 32 devices, representing 256 ports, through a standard SMB bus remote management connection. In addition, the MIC2358YLQ provides a unique autonomous mode, which is capable of managing the power budget without an external host processor. A full complement of over/under voltage/current monitoring is provided, in accordance with the 802.3af standard, to ensure safety and equipment protection.
