Citibank Korea to be the first in U-learning
Citibank Korea Inc. (CEO Ha Yung-Ku, www.citibank.co.kr) announced that it will introduce U-learning service via smart phones by the end of June.
In addition to typical online video lectures, SNS (Social Network Service) will be adopted to enable Q&As between lecturers and students anytime anywhere. More active interactions and holistic networking will be available between lecturers and training participants.
“Twitter” is another noticeable feature. The so-called “mentor in my smart phone” service will connect senior officers to employees as mentors and mentees where mentors will provide junior staff with job knowhow. Internal notices are also delivered via smart phones, and consequently it can be used as a knowledge repository. As management and employees can communicate more actively on business and internal matters, the service is expected to reinforce solidarity among employees.
“Employees need best-in-class trainings to be able to provide best services to customers. CKI plans to provide constant support to employees to help them learn financial knowledge via mobile learning environment and two-way communications so that they can grow into leading players equipped with financial expertise,” said CKI official.
CKI chose KT as the service provider, yet it plans to expand the number of providers going forward.
