서울--(뉴스와이어)--Citibank Korea (CEO Ha, Yung-Ku, www.citibank.co.kr) announced that Citigroup Korea Inc, a financial holding company, is established as of June 1st laying a new foundation for growth of our franchise in Korea. Citigroup Korea Inc is aimed at maximizing synergies, reinforcing corporate governance, growing business in the market and eventually contributing to Korea’s financial industry growth.

The financial holding company consists of four companies; Citibank Korea, Citigroup Capital Korea (CCKI), Citi Financial Sales Korea (CFSK), and Citi Credit Service (CCS), a subsidiary of Citibank Korea.

Ha, Yung-Ku, CEO of Citibank Korea Inc. will also lead Citigroup Korea Inc.

“By launching Citigroup Korea Inc we will fully leverage our accumulated global experiences to further contribute to Korea’s financial industry and to solidify our presence in the Korean market as well,” said CEO Ha.

* Holding company securities will be issued for the shares held by minority shareholders of CKI and CCIK. As a result, COIC will come to have 99.95 % share in Citigroup Korea.

Citi Financial Sales Korea, Inc. (CFSK)

Citi Financial Sales Korea, Inc. was established in Dec. 2009, and specialized in selling loan products of Citibank Korea and Citigroup Capital Korea. CFSK will grow into a more comprehensive financial product sales company with change in the regulatory environment (enactment/ revision of laws/ regulations, etc) and approval from regulatory bodies.

Citi Credit Service, Inc. (CCS)

Citi Credit Service, Inc. (CCS) was established in Jul. 2008 to facilitate smooth financial transactions and promote soundness of credit society. CCS provides realistic and differentiated services to help debtors recover credit records. It is increasing asset soundness while working on establishing sound credit society.
