서울--(뉴스와이어)--Citi Citibank Korea (CEO Ha, Yung Ku, www.citibank.co.kr) announced that it has been recognized by leading industry magazine Global Finance in its annual World’s Best Internet Banks in Asia 2010 awards for ‘Best Corporate/Institutional Internet Bank in South Korea’. This award highlights Citi’s continued innovation and excellence in providing online treasury management and trade solutions that support the evolving needs of our clients.

Banks chosen to receive these prestigious Global Finance awards were selected based on: strength of strategy for attracting and servicing online customers, success in getting clients to use web offerings, growth of online customers, breadth of product offerings, evidence of tangible benefits gained from Internet initiatives, and web site design and functionality.

Citibank Korea Executive Vice President at GTS Yoo Myung-Soon said, "Our philosophy at Citi has always been to build relationships with our clients as a trusted service provider and partner. This, coupled with our continued investment in technology and best-in-breed systems allows us to design innovative solutions that meet our clients' evolving treasury management and trade needs.”

The awards also represent the significance of the Internet in the changing face of the modern, global marketplace, and those banks that have excelled in embracing the new challenges that come with this constant, evolutionary process.

“In less than a decade, the Internet has transformed the way many consumers and most businesses bank,” says Joseph D. Giarraputo, publisher of Global Finance. “The continuing improvements in Internet offerings represented by this year’s entries show that more significant Internet banking developments are still ahead of us.”
