- Discussions over progress and experiences of Smart Grid Test beds

- Biz Fair and Field Trip to Jeju Smart Grid Test Bed

서울--(뉴스와이어)--In November, when world leaders gather in Seoul, Korea for the G20 Summit, the eyes of the global smart grid industry are expected to be on Korea as well.

The Korea Smart Grid Week will take place at the site of the Jeju Smart Grid Test Bed November 8th-14th, 2010. This will serve as a venue to review progress in operating smart grid test beds and exchange advanced technology ideas. Experts from six countries, including the United States, will share their experiences and issues on how to demonstrate a smart grid system.

The Korea Smart Grid Week is designed to discuss current challenges of energy, and future strategies under the theme of Smart Grid. There will be meetings held by key international organizations, such as the ISGAN(International Smart Grid Action Network) and IEA(International Energy Agency), and the Forum on Smart Grid Technology and Standards.

Furthermore, participants will experience Smart Grid technology by visiting The Smart Grid PR Center and four experience halls, each featuring different concepts. These hands-on experience halls in the Jeju Smart Grid Test Bed are built in partnership with 168companies including Korean conglomerates KEPCO, LG, SK, KT/GS Caltex and POSCO, using the most advanced technology.

Registration is available now online at www.ksgw.or.kr by September 30th, 2010. Please see the attached document for detailed information.
