Citibank Korea donates to support surgery of 5 low-income breast cancer patients
- Marking the breast cancer awareness month in October, Women Council of Citibank Korea and Korea Breast Cancer Foundation ran a one-month “pink ribbon” campaign
- Raised 13,482,000 won in funds through sales of 700 pink ribbon brooches and some 1,000 pink ribbon pins to CKI employees

CKI Women Council held a “pink ribbon” campaign from Sep. 27 till Oct. 21 period at the bank office buildings, raising awareness about breast cancer and selling pink ribbon brooches and pin badges. CKI employees willingly participated in the campaign, buying a total of 700 brooches and 1,000 pins worth of 13,482,000 won. The proceeds will be donated to be used for the surgery of 5 breast cancer patients among low-income families shortlisted by KBCF.
It has been four years since CKI Women Council ran the breast cancer awareness campaign every year, and this year in particular, the campaign was successful by selling brooches in addition to the original pins.
CKI CEO Ha Yung-Ku, Women Council Chairperson and EVP Yoo Myung-soon, and Council members as well as KBCF Auditor Kim Young-Hye and Director Shin Chan-Ho attended the ceremony held at the CKI HQ office building to deliver the fundraising proceeds.
