LG.Philips LCD, 4년 연속 LCD 고객만족도 1위 올라
디스플레이서치의 TFT LCD 고객 만족도 조사"는 매년 한 차례 TFT LCD 패널 업체의 바이어들을 대상으로 패널 업체에 대한 만족도를 조사 집계한 것으로 LG.Philips LCD는 올해로 4년째 연속 고객 만족도 1위를 달성하였다.
이번 조사는 2004년 한 해 동안 품질, 기술, 물류, 서비스/지원, 거래 조건 등 5개 핵심 분야에 대한 LCD 패널 업체의 성과를 Dell,HP,IBM,필립스,미쓰비시 등 고객업체들로부터 평가를 받아 집계하는 방식으로 진행되었다.
특히 LG.Philips LCD는 디스플레이서치의 고객만족도 조사 이후 사상 처음으로 노트북용 LCD, 모니터용 LCD, TV용 LCD 분야 등 3개 제품 영역에서 모두 1위를 달성하는 기록을 세우며 명실상부한 세계 리딩 LCD 컴퍼니로서의 위상을 확고하게 보여 주었다.

디스플레이서치 제5회 TFT LCD 고객 만족도 조사 결과 발표
디스플레이서치가 17일(미국 시각), 전세계 30개 PC 모니터와 노트북 메이커들을 대상으로 조사한 TFT-LCD 패널社 고객만족도 조사 결과를 발표했다. 올해의 조사에는 LCD TV 패널에 대한 부분이 처음으로 포함되었다.
이 조사 결과는 디스플레이 업계에서 유일한 것으로 업계에 좋은 자료를 제공한다. 조사는 5개 분야 마다 각각 5개씩의 질문을 통해 이루어졌으며 답변 업체가 각각의 분야 뿐 아니라 각각의 질문에 대해서도 다른 비중을 둘 수 있도록 했다.
노트북,모니터, LCD TV 제조 업체 17개사 설문에 참여한 업체는 다음과 같다
Acer, AGNeovo, AmTRAN, Apple, Fujitsu, GVision, HP, IBM, iiyama, LGE, Mitsubishi, NEC, NEC-Mitsubishi, Philips, Samsung, Sony,Syntax.
조사 대상 LCD 패널 공급업체는 18개 업체로 AUO, BOE Hydis, CMO, CPT, Fujitsu, HannStar, Hitachi, IDTech, Innolux, LG.Philips LCD , NEC, QDI, Samsung, Sanyo Epson, Sharp, TMDisplay, Toppoly 등이 포함되었다.
조사 결과 중 주요한 내용은 다음과 같다.
LG.Philips LCD가 대형 TFT LCD 업계에서 4년 연속으로 고객만족 1위 업체로 선정되는 영예를 안았다. LG.Philips LCD는 전 분야에서 최고의 가장 높은 평가를 받았으며, 하나의 업체가 모든 제품군에서 최고의 평가를 받은 것은 이번이 사상 최초이다.
[LCD 모니터 분야]
LG.Philips LCD은 ‘서비스 및 지원’ 분야 이외에도 ‘기술’ 분야에서 최고의 평가를 받았으며, 한편 NEC가 ‘품질’ 분야에서 그리고 QDI는 ‘거래 조건’ 분야에서 좋은 평가를 받았다. 전체 평가에서 LG.Philips LCD의 뒤를 잇는 것은 NEC, 삼성, 샤프 그리고 산요 엡슨(Sanyo Epson)의 順 이었다.
[노트북 PC 분야]
LG.Philips LCD은 ‘서비스 및 지원’ 분야와 ‘품질’ 분야에서 최고의 평가를 받았으며, 한편 삼성은 ‘기술’ 분야에서 히타치는 ‘물류’ 분야에서 그리고 QDI는 ‘거래 조건’ 분야에서 좋은 평가를 받았다. 종합 평가에서 2위는 샤프가 차지했으며 그 뒤를 삼성, 히타치 그리고 AUO가 따랐다.
[LCD TV 분야]
LG.Philips LCD은 ‘서비스 및 지원’, ‘기술’ 그리고 ‘거래 조건’ 분야에서 최고의 평가를 받았으며, 한편 샤프는 ‘품질’ 분야에서 좋은 평가를 받았다. 전체 평가에서 1위를 받은 LG.Philips LCD의 뒤는 샤프, CMO, AUO, CPT순이었다.
디스플레이서치는 이번 조사 내용을 24~26일 동안 보스톤에 설치될 SID 2005 전시 부스에서 공개할 예정이며, 전체 보고서는 6월에 릴리스할 예정이다.

AUSTIN, TEXAS, May 17, 2005--DisplaySearch, the worldwide leader in flat panel display (FPD) market research and consulting, has released the results of its 5th Annual TFT LCD Customer Satisfaction Survey where buyers from LCD monitor, notebook PC and LCD TV brands and OEMs rate their TFT LCD suppliers' 2004 performance across five key categories including Quality, Technology, Logistics, Service & Support, and Commercial Terms. This year's report benchmarks LCD TV panel performance for the first time.
The comprehensive report highlights answers to these and other questions:

This essential benchmarking report, the only one of its kind in the display industry, provides suppliers, buyers, and other industry players a unique perspective on supplier-customer relationships in the display industry. The surveys were comprised of five questions in each of five key categories, and each buyer weighed the relative importance of the key categories as well as of each question within those categories.

Highlights from the survey results include:
LPL was #1 in overall customer satisfaction in the large-area TFT LCD industry for the 4th consecutive year. LPL was the highest rated supplier in each application, the first time a single supplier has led all applications.
LPL was also ranked #1 in Service & Support in each category, a testimony to its top position in customer satisfaction.
LCD monitor modules: While LPL was #1 in Service & Support, it also led in Technology. Meanwhile, NEC led in Quality and Logistics and QDI led in Commercial Terms. Following LPL in total LCD monitor module customer satisfaction was NEC, Samsung, Sharp and Sanyo Epson.
Notebook PC modules: LPL also led in Quality and Service & Support. Meanwhile, Samsung led in Technology, Hitachi led in Logistics and QDI led in Commercial Terms. Sharp was #2 in total notebook PC module customer satisfaction closely followed by Samsung with Hitachi and AUO rounding out the top 5.
LCD TV modules: LPL led in Service & Support, Technology and Commercial Terms with Sharp leading in Quality and Logistics. Sharp was #2 followed by CMO, AUO and CPT.
