Mr. Maurits will succeed Jesse Chen, Ph.D., who announced his retirement. Dr. Chen has served as president of Poly Plant Project, Inc. for the past two years.

He has published 22 technical papers and made numerous presentations at industry conferences.

Publications appear in IEEE Transactions, Journal of Crystal Growth, Electrochemical Society Symposium Publications, Journal of Vacuum Science and Technology, Applied Physics Letters, Solid State Technology, Photovoltaics Journal, and Laboratory Management. Specifications and evaluation procedures appear in the Book of SEMI Standards and ASTM Standards. His professional organization memberships include the Semiconductor Equipment and Materials Institute, serving as Chairman of the SOS Committee, the Polysilicon Task Force, and the Silane Standards Task Force; the American Society for Testing Materials, Committee F1.06, Silicon Materials; the Electrochemical Society, serving as Chairman of the High Purity Silicon Symposium; and the Semiconductor Safety Association.
