MVTS Technologies Announces Purchase of RVSI Lead Scanner Assets From BKM Technology Partners
Ron Maassen, CEO of MVTS, said, “The acquisition of the lead scanner assets further expands our semiconductor backend support capabilities and we look forward to engaging with the RVSI customer base. As with many of our product lines, we are planning on investing in upgrades and enhancements to improve operational efficiencies, technical capabilities and platform longevity.”
As of February 11th, 2011, MVTS Technologies will be the global sales and service provider for the RVSI lead scanner product line. With extensive product lines and semiconductor equipment knowledge, MVTS is highly qualified to provide RVSI lead scanner customers with comprehensive, global support solutions.
Under terms of the Agreement, the transfer of assets and inventory will be completed by February 11th, 2011. Prior to this date, BKM will continue to accept all requests for parts and service from the worldwide RVSI LS customer base. February 11th, 2011 and thereafter, all requests for parts and service will be forwarded and managed globally by MVTS. MVTS is positioned to provide world class support at a local level.
The lead scanners provide final inspection solutions for semiconductor devices such as; BGA, QFP, TSOP, etc. Device integrity and uniformity is ensured through dimensional inspection of leads and ball-grids as well as visual inspection of package body for defects.
