21세기 글로벌 그린 시티 관련 심포지엄, 오는 23일부터 샌프란시스코에서 개최

지속 가능한 도시 개발 및 설계를 강화하기 위한 목적으로 개최되는 이 심포지움은 그린 시티개발에 초점을 맞추며, 2월 23일일 캘리포니아 주 부지사 Gavin Newsom이 개회 연설을 할 예정이다.
이번 심포지엄에서는 선택된 정부 관리, 도시 계획 입안자, 연구인력, 기술자, 기업 임원과 기타 전세계에서 인정받는 리더들이 함께 모여 높은 수준의 아이디어와 정보를 교환할 것으로 예상된다.
Bay Area Council Economic Institute의 Sean Randolph소장은 “지속 가능한 도시 성장 분야의 세계적인 전문가들이 샌프란시스코에 모이게 된 것을 매우 기쁘게 생각한다”고 밝히며, “참석자들이 세계에서 가장 혁신적인 도시 계획 작업에 참여뿐만 아니라 실제로 거주까지 한 값진 경험을 미국과 Bay Area 리더들과의 교류를 통해 더욱 향상되고 첨단 요소들을 갖추게 될 것으로 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
심포지엄의 중요 주제로는 도시 설계, 정책과 시민 행동의 연관성, 그리고 기술의 응용 등이 포함된다. 또한, 캘리포니마 고유의 기술과 정책 발전도 함께 소개될 계획이다.
전세계의 참가자들은 현장 참석 또는 ‘실황(in-person)’ 가상 참석을 가능하게 하는 첨단 회의 솔루션인 Cisco TelePresence를 통해 이 행사에 참여할 계획이다. 또, Virtual Meetings by Marriott 스튜디오는 네트워크에 기반한 AT&T 특유의 회사간 및 회사내 협업 프로그램인 AT&T Business Exchange를 사용하여 전세계의 참석자들을 추가로 연결할 것이다.
