Ruby Tuesday Restaurant Opens In Sinchon
The store is located in the heart of Sinchon at 45-1 Changcheon-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul 120-834. Occupying the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors, the signature Ruby Tuesday facade dominates the streetscape. Offering 76 tables on floors 2 and 3, along with seating for private parties of up to 50 people on the 5th floor, the restaurant is ready to satisfy the appetites and curiosities of the public. The 10,000 Sq. Ft. employees nearly 80 full and part time employees.
Ruby Tuesday brings with it the “Smart Eating” program, the first of its kind for American family restaurants; the program focuses on low-carbohydrate menu items for healthy living. Healthy choices include everything from appetizers, sandwiches and light fare, sumptuous steak and seafood entrees, and two tempting salad bars located on the 3rd and 4th floors.
Ruby Tuesday was established 32 years ago, when Founder and CEO, Sandy Beall, opened the first store near the Knoxville campus of the University of Tennessee. The $1.5 billion brand, currently owns, operates, and franchises nearly 800 restaurants around the world. Other international markets in operation include: Canada, Chile, Greece, Honduras, Hong Kong, Iceland, India, Kuwait, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Romania, Taiwan, and Trinidad.
Majestic Group, Inc. (based in Baltimore, Maryland) acquired the franchise and development rights to Ruby Tuesday restaurants, in South Korea (Republic of Korea) in late 2004. Operations for the Korean franchise will be lead by Nam K. Kim, Founder and CEO, and James R Schloss, President and COO. A wholly-owned subsidiary has been established in Korea, Majestic Group Korea, Ltd., to operate the restaurants. As Majestic Group builds-out the territory investment opportunities will be available for both US and Korean investors.
