G.hn is the ITU-T definition of the next generation home AV network standard for distribution of Internet Protocol (IP) content across existing AC power lines, coax cables and phone lines. This high-performance solution outdelivers every wired or wireless solution running in consumer households to date. With a single chip, it runs at least 700 Mbps -- over four times faster throughput than MoCA today and 75% faster than MoCA 2. It is faster and more reliable than any wireless solution, too -- all without requiring complicated security set-ups. Over powerlines, it delivers triple the performance of rival standards.
