Citibank Korea Inc. offers ‘zero’ withdrawal fee service to foreign Citi customers through 4,600 alliance Lotte ATMs across the nation
CKI has been replacing existing ATMS in the entire 220 branches nationwide to ‘Global ATMs’ since April 19, 2012 and foreign Citi customers have been exempted from withdrawal fee when using these global ATMs. Such exemption is expanded to Lotte ATMs from 23, and foreign customers are now able to use local ATMs with card issued overseas without any charges.
An official from CKI said "Foreign customers had been facing inconvenience in using local ATMs when withdrawing money due to the ATM fee worth 3-5 dollars per transaction. Thanks to the expansion of global service, however, Citi customers across the globe may now use not only CKI ATMs but also 4,600 Lotte ATMs nationwide in Korea without having to pay for any charges.”
CKI customers have been exempted from withdrawal fee during business hours since August 2010 when using Lotte ATMs in 7-eleven convenience stores, Lotte Department Store or Lotte Mart nationwide same as using ATMs in CKI branches.
Apart from this service, CKI is also providing differentiated services for foreign customers such as designating foreign customer dedicated branches (Business Dept / Oksudong / Seoul / Myeongdong / Gangnam / Dongbuichondong / Bangbaedong / Cheongdamdong / Trade Center / Yeouido Jungang / Teheran-no / Seogyodong), providing internet/mobile banking service in English, and operating a call center for foreigners only.
