SEOUL--(Korea Newswire)--The management and the union of Citibank Korea (CEO Yung-gu Ha, www.citibank.co.kr) visited Global Sarang (President Hae-sung Kim, www.g4w.net) and Team and Team International (Director Doo-sig Kim, www.teamandteam.org) - on September 26 and 27 respectively to deliver 40 MM won in funds to each NGO. This fund will allow Global Sarang to open and run two group homes for education and nursing of children from multi-cultural families. Team & Team International will build three wells and repair ten pumps in Tana Delta, Kenya with the funds to provide clean water for the residents and children there.

Last April, CKI’s management and labor union started donating matching funds to every 10,000 won that employees donate every month, aimed at providing selective support to significant NGO programs in diverse areas. A total of 74 million won was sponsored as the first round of donation last June to commemorate 200 years Citi. 200 bicycles were donated to help teenagers from rural areas or low-income families commuting to remote schools. Single moms were provided with living supplies and home environment improvement support.
