Cyan Partners With Nissho Electronics to Capitalize on Metro SDN Momentum
- Software-Defined Metro Network Solution Enables Router Bypass -- Dramatically Reducing Cost and Improving Performance
According to Cyan chairman and CEO Mark Floyd, “Nissho is an ideal partner for Cyan and we are pleased to be working with them in the Japanese market. The agreement allows Nissho to represent, market, install, and support Cyan's metro SDN solution in cloud data center, business Ethernet, 4G wireless backhaul, broadband backhaul, and wholesale transport networks, among others. The Cyan solution has already been deployed by over 115 customers globally, some of which are among the largest service providers in the world.

The Cyan partnership with Nissho Electronics includes the Z-Series family of P-OTPs, as well as Cyan‘s SDN orchestration platform and SDN applications. Specific applications include Cyan’s unique 3D network visualization software, as well as a full suite of network planning, management, and verification applications. These applications also work with an array of third-party network devices, including many that Nissho already supports.
