HDMI extenders are used in a wide array of applications, ranging from home entertainment centers to large format commercial displays, to help connect source devices to a display over medium to long distances. According to a report by iSuppli, HDMI-enabled device shipments are expected to increase from approximately 629 million units in 2011 to 1.3 billion units in 2014, fueling the demand for peripherals including HDMI extenders.
