CKI participated in Babfor sharing on Dail Day for 1,100 alienated people

SEOUL--(Korea Newswire)--Citibank Korea Inc. (CEO Ha, Yung-ku, www.citibank.co.kr) participated in the “Rise Again” event held on 2012 Dail Day Nov. 11 at Dail Babfor Campaign HQ (led by Pastor Choi, Il-do) in Cheongnyangni, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul. On the day, Citibank Korea delivered the fund to expand the Babsup, and 40 executives, employees and their families shared their hearts and warm meals with around 1,100 socially marginalized including senior citizens living alone or having no place to turn to and the homeless.

In line with the Citi Global Community Day in time for the 200th anniversary on Jun. 16, Citibank, provided a resting place to the people in need who visited Babfor center in Cheongnyangni and created the Babsup in the open space in front of the campaign HQ to help the senior citizens living nearby could take a walk and rest. The fund donated by Citibank will be used to enlarge the Babsup by making a trail and a resting place on the side and in the backyard of the Dail HQ.

Choi, Il-do, the representative of Dail Community who hosted the event said, “The Dail Community started 24 years ago in Cheongnyangni Station plaza. We’ve designated Nov. 11 as Dail Day and held a sharing event to give hopes and courage to the alienated people that they could rise again. I’d like to thank Citibank Korea for its sincere participation in Babfor campaign and Babsup creation.” On the other hand, CEO Ha of Citibank said, “I’m very happy that we can expand the Bapsup which was created in Jun. with this sponsorship. Now people in need coming to the place will enjoy a broadened trail and a wider resting place. I hope they will get hopes and courage that they can rise again just like the trees that we’ve planted here.”
