SEOUL--(뉴스와이어)--Citibank Korea Inc.(CEO Yung-Ku Ha, www.citibank.co.kr) announced that it offers 10-year KHFC mortgage starting from 3.84%p.a.

“Citi’s KHFC mortgage” is available at 3.84%p.a. for 10-year maturity, 3.94%p.a. for 15-year maturity, and 3.98%p.a. for 20/30-year maturity as of February 14. Eligible collaterals are limited to apartments and houses of KRW900 million or below, and the mortgage amount cap is KRW500 million, up to 70% of appraisal value. The EPO fee of 1.5% is waived after 3 years from the execution.

An officer of Citibank said, “This is a good opportunity to significantly reduce the interest expense by refinancing the existing high-priced loan received from other bank to Citibank’s KHFC loan with little burden of registration fee.” “For instance, if you have a loan of KRW 100 million at 5.2%, the incidental expense inclusive of EPO fee(assuming 1%), discount on national housing bond, and stamp tax will be around KRW1.07 million, whereas refinancing with Citi’s KHFC mortgage will lower the interest amount by up to 1.36% which is about KRW 290,000 in the first year only. Furthermore, if there is no EPO fee, you will be able to save KRW 1.29 million in the first year and KRW1.36 million each year from the second year on. Now is the time for financial consumers to make a smart choice,” he explained.

The KHFC mortgage is a product originated by Citibank and purchased by KHFC to issue MBS.
