Citibank Korea Held Retrospective of Late Cardinal Kim, Sou-hwan at Apgujeong Central Branch

SEOUL--(Korea Newswire)--Apgujeong Branch of Citibank Korea Inc. (CEO Ha, Yung-ku, www.citibank.co.kr) holds a retrospective exhibition of the late Kim, Sou-hwan, the first Roman Catholic cardinanl in Korea at the gallery on the 3rd fl. of the bldg. till May 25 with the paintings and writings, and engravings (collaboration) created by Kim. It is almost unprecedented that cardinal Stephen’s art pieces are open to the public, so the exhibition is attracting huge attention.

On the 10th of the last month, when the exhibition started, Joen, Dae-sik, writer of the book “Still, Love” containing the cardinal’s messages, greeted the audience in the opening ceremony. Lecture about wine and opera was delivered, and performances of Salpuli, Korea’s traditional dance to drive out evil spirit, and Ensemble were shown during the ceremony.

The Citibank Korea Apgujeong branch, which is a 4-story specialized premise, has offices on the 1st and 2nd floors, a gallery on the 3rd fl., and outdoor garden and spaces for family gatherings on the 4th fl. The 3rd and 4th fl. of the building are open to the community residents and has become a popular place for different types of gatherings.
